We are looking for highly motivated applicants with international experience who share our passion for sport, fashion, and lifestyle. Team players, whose personality and individual performance shine through, who are always ready to try something new, and who are comfortable working independently. To succeed here, you should be a university student and have:

Where do internships take place?

Internship opportunities are one of our most prolific student programs worldwide. The adidas Group offers openings in locations throughout the world and in almost all disciplines.

What is the duration of the internships offered?

We offer internships lasting from 3 to 6 months.

Can I divide the internship period up into several sections? (e.g., 3 x 2 months?)

The internship period cannot be divided up.

What are the requirements for an internship?

The primary requirement for an internship at the adidas Group is enrollment at a University or University of Applied Science. In addition to strong communication skills and customer focus, candidates should demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities and should possess analytical skills as well as a very good knowledge of English and intercultural competence. In addition, a passion for sport is an important requirement at the adidas Group.

Gap year: If you decide to complete an internship between finishing your Bachelor's degree and starting your Masters, this is possible without student status. Please provide information in your application about your planned Master studies and the University or University of Applied Science at which you plan to complete your studies.

Are the internships at the adidas Group paid?

Yes, the internships at the adidas Group are paid. Pay varies by location.

Is it possible to complete an internship abroad at the adidas Group?

To do an internship abroad, you are required to have completed an internship of at least six months at the company headquarters of adidas AG in Herzogenaurach.

Are internships available for foreign students?

Definitely! We have many interns from all over the world. However, you must be enrolled as a student for the whole period of the internship; otherwise, it is not possible to obtain a work permit. (Germany only; Gap year only if you have a permanent work permit for Germany.)

Will I receive any help organizing the visa and the work permit?

We will be happy to support you in this process.

Do I have to speak German in order to complete an internship at the adidas Group?

Our corporate language is English, but in some departments within our Germany locations, knowledge of German is required. Please refer to the job posting.

Can I complete several internships at the adidas Group?

Only one internship is allowed at each location.

Is it possible to pass through several departments during the internship?

Internships are always limited to one department. However, the close collaboration with other functional areas will give you a good insight into other departments as well.

What type of work will I do during my internship?

The type of work will of course depend on the department chosen for your internship. Our interns work on routine business and are assigned their own tasks and projects.

Can I prepare my degree thesis in cooperation with the adidas Group?

It is possible to prepare a degree thesis while doing an internship or at the end of an internship (unpaid). In this case, the normal internship period must be observed. We do not offer degree theses. Please mention in your application that you are considering preparing your degree thesis with us.

How much holiday will I have?

Vacation days and holidays vary by location. In our Germany locations you are entitled to 14 days of holiday during a six-month internship.

Do I have to arrange accommodations myself?

Yes, you have to arrange your own accommodations. However, as soon as you receive the offer of an internship and accept it, we will send you a list of suggested accommodations in the area. This should help you to find a place quickly.

Is it better to live in Nuremberg, Erlangen, or Herzogenaurach? (Germany internships only)

Herzogenaurach is somewhat quieter, but you are in the immediate vicinity of the office. Nuremberg is about a 25- to 30-minute drive away (it is not recommended to take public transportation), but offers more opportunities for leisure activities and going out. Erlangen is approx. 15 km away from Herzogenaurach. It is easy to get to Herzogenaurach from there on public transportation.

How and where can I apply?

Our internships are advertised on an ongoing basis on the adidas Group websites. We only accept applications made online via the careers portal.

Why can't I find the internship I want to apply for?

All internships will be advertised via our career portal. If you can't find the one you are looking for, then we are currently not recruiting for that particular role.

Can I apply speculatively or only to openings posted?

All positions that we have to fill are advertised online. We do not have any other vacancies. It is therefore not possible to make a speculative application.

What should my application include?

Your application consists of a cover letter, your CV, and references.

To whom should I address my application?

Applications are only accepted if submitted online. Applications via mail are not accepted.

What language should I write my application documents in?

You can use the same language as the job posting. However, you are normally on the right track if you write your application in English.

Can I apply for several openings at the same time?

You are welcome to apply for several openings at the same time up to a maximum of five openings. However, it is important that you limit your applications to one functional area so that we can see a common thread.

How will I know whether I have successfully submitted my application?

You will automatically receive an acknowledgement of receipt confirming that you have submitted your application successfully.

When will I receive a reply to my application?

You should usually receive a reply from us within two weeks. If you do not receive a reply within two weeks, please feel free to contact us directly.

Approximately how many interns are appointed each year?

Approximately 500 interns are taken on each year at the company headquarters in Herzogenaurach. Internship openings vary by location.

How does the application process for an internship work?

The application process for an internship consists of two stages:

  1. Online application
  2. Interview (in person and/or by telephone)

What language is the interview conducted in?

The language in which the interview is conducted depends on the relevant department.

Are the expenses of travelling to the interview reimbursed?

The traveling expenses are met by the adidas Group.

When will I receive a reply about the interview?

You will hear from us as soon as we have interviewed all the candidates for this position, usually within one to two weeks after the interview.

If I am not successful, will I receive feedback?

You will receive a reply from us whatever the outcome. Please understand that we are unable to provide individual feedback.

What is the dress code?

We do not specify any particular dress code. It is important to us that you feel comfortable!

How should I prepare?

Before the interview, you should find out about the adidas Group and you should be prepared to convince us that you are the right candidate for an internship at the adidas Group.
